Le Domaine de Bois Chéri, located on the highlands in the southern part of the Island of Mauritius, at nearly
500 metres above sea level offers ideal climatic conditions for the cultivation of tea.

Being one of the most ancient tea plantations in the island, Le Domaine de BoisChéri offers “Zistwar Dité” which is an exclusive adventure.

Follow the footsteps of the tea pickers across the fields, participate in the plucking activities and witness the process of tea making. A tea tasting will be done at Le Chalet du Domaine de Bois Chéri, overlooking Le Lac des Cygnes du Domaine de Bois Chéri. A tea-based lunch is served in Le Bois Chéri Restaurant which has a panoramic view on the south east coast of our island. Come and experience a unique and immersive moment.

Schedule
• Opening Hours: 9:00 - 17:00 (Factory closes at 11:00 am on Saturdays and Closed on Sundays & Public holidays)
• The program of the day:
- Arrival at 9am at the Bois Chéri Tea Museum.
- A typical Mauritian breakfast
- Briefing by the field leader
- The history of Bois Chéri tea
- Detailed explanations on the tea picking
- Handing over of the baskets
• Itinerary - Upon arrival at the plantations, the group will start the picking which will last approximately 20 minutes.
  Once the tea picking is done, we will go to L’Usine de Thé de Bois Chéri where all the baskets
  will be weighed and the tea leaves verified. The initiates will discover the various steps involved in the making
  of the tea from the raw material to the finished good. Strong of this knowledge, the explorers will then taste the
  various teas and herbal teas of Bois Chéri, in a magnificent environment overlooking
  Cygnes du Domaine de Bois Chéri. Lunch will then be served at Le Bois Chéri Restaurant.

• Any no shows will result in a 100% cancellation fee by the supplier
